Experience
As the Shared Service IT Manager – Southern Africa, I am providing technical and telecommunications leadership to the properties within the cluster. Effectively communicating, managing, and delivering systems and procedures that align with Corporate and Brand IT and Telecom standards. I manage projects plans and deliver the implementation and upgrades of major systems to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. I also support hotels within your cluster with business solutions such as installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware to ensure optimal performance. In addition to this, I support the troubleshooting of problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, providing end-user training and assistance.
Additional to the above, my portfolio also manages new Hotel openings with Southern Africa where I work closely with Dir Tech Field Srvcs Opngs.
Some of my duties include:
• Pre-opening office setup for GM and team. From Laptops, desktops and printers to internet connectivity and telecommunications.
• Budget proposal for owners.
• Prepare project time line
• Recruit IT manager for new opening, mentor and develop.
• Co-ordinate with appointed project manager, delivery of service and products.
• Overview project while reporting directly into Director Tech Field Srvcs Opngs.
• Attend weekly, monthly calls to discuss progress.
• Ensure Hotel opening takes place as schedules and all IT related system installed as per brand standard.
• Once the Hotel is open, the Hotel moves from my opening portfolio to my operational portfolio and the duties listed above steps into play and part of my portfolio.
