Manage and control Leave in respect of Sick leave; IOD leave; Study leave;
Compulsory obligatory study requirements leave; to initiate appropriate
processes to minimize and eradicate abuse of sick leave; compliance to the
leave policy and the Western Cape Conditions of service.

Manage and control the OHS Function in collaboration with the Directorates
with the specific focus on compliance; establishing a healthy work-life
balance monitoring schedule for employees ; establish standard operating
procedures for all work processes; manage the IOD registration processes;
monitoring the Medical Surveilance process; manage Regulatory training.
Control engagements with Service providers for EAP; OHS and Training.
Verify and recommend for payments for services rendered
Participate in incapacity consultations regarding affected employees
Manage EPWP ( Expanded Public Works Program) unit of the George
Municipality as from 1 July 2022
-Liaise with Expenditure department to monitor spending of EPWP funds
-Monitor % implementation and progress of projects by departments
- Liaise with Provincial EPWP department in respect of deliverables.
-monitor training program for EPWP.
