I am a conservation ecologist by training with a proven track record in cutting edge conservation management practices. I have completed three different Professional Hunters courses in two provinces, Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Limpopo again as a refreshers course with Kobus Schoeman (former chairman of PHASA and Director of Nature Conservation). I also achieved all fire arm efficiencies and competencies, handgun, shotgun, rifle and semi-automatic weapons for business purposes. I specialize in the veld and rare game management and also intensive game breeding practices, including all aspects of wildlife management and permit-keeping, wildlife transportation, hunting and sustainable game utilization. Infrastructure development and maintenance as well as adaptive management strategies for wildlife can also be added to the list. Expertise in client services, account management, relationship-building and communication.

During my career I have gained plenty of experience with intensive game breeding. We bred Buffalo, Sable, Roan, Black Impala and even had a small antelope breeding project. The important management principles are often the small tasks that gets easily overlooked, such as supplementing, cleaning feed/water troths and servicing parasite control system throughout the camps, daily fence checks or just keeping a smile on the staffs faces while sweating in the sun. A couple of minutes after worked spent with the game can tell you so much about their behavior, personalities and health.

The business part is just as fun, from marketing, attending/bidding on animals at auctions or even to accompany hunters. We guided international VIP guest and your average weekend hunter. Game Ranch Management is a key part of conservation and can be an extremely valuable tool. Implementing the right management ideas to form a sustainability ecosystem within the farm is what I strive to accomplish.
