Jacques has a National Diploma in Cost & Management Accounting and 36 years working experience in administration and finance, including a period in cost accounting, supply chain and logistics, project management, and human resources. The industries where this experience was obtained include telecommunications, manufacturing and mining.

He spent the first 13 years of his career at Telkom in financial accounting. He then spent a year as Admin Manager at MAN Truck & Bus, a motor vehicle manufacturing company. He then moved to the diamond mining industry, where he has spent most of his career.

He has competence in financial accounting, cost accounting, financial management, supply chain management, project management and human resource management.

During his career, he has played a key role in implementing annual business and operational plans, financial systems and accounting software, supply chain systems, human resource systems and procedures, and project management.

He has developed remarkable leadership, people management and communication skills, while his analytical and problem-solving skills have resolved a number of complex business issues.
