As an entry-level marketing graduate, I have recently completed my studies and am now eager to apply my knowledge and skills in the real world. I have a passion for developing creative marketing strategies and finding innovative ways to reach a target audience. Throughout my studies, I have gained practical experience through group projects and coursework, which have equipped me with the skills necessary to excel in the field of marketing. It has also provided me with a strong understanding of marketing concepts such as branding, consumer behavior, and market research. I am a team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and am excited to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals. As I start my career in marketing, I am eager to learn and grow and am excited to make a positive impact in the marketing industry.

As a recent marketing graduate, my professional experience has primarily been gained through opportunities provided during my coursework and group projects at university. We have had the opportunity to collaborate with three local South African businesses in 2022, where we had to develop strategic plans, digital marketing plans, and strategic marketing plans to help the businesses flourish. Areas of focus for these projects included copywriting and editing, website development, developing marketing materials, and presentations. Although this was on a small scale and formed part of my Honours program, I have learnt so much in the span of one year. From determining effective market segments for these businesses through market research, developing innovative strategies to provide them with a competitive advantage, and running an exciting social media week where we had to raise awareness and improve the following of one business, I have experienced a taste of the marketing world and had my fair contribution to the growth of these organisations

Overall, my professional experience as a recent marketing graduate has given me a solid foundation in various aspects of marketing, including social media, email marketing, market research, and strategy development. I am excited to continue learning and growing in the field of marketing and to apply my skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in my future career.

I have completed both my undergraduate and Honours degree in Marketing Management with distinction from the North-West University. My most notable year at university studying marketing has to be my Honours year, since it provided me with an abundance of practical experience regarding real-world marketing challenges. I have had the privilege to work with various South African businesses in group context, including an exciting modern-container pizza restaurant, a health-focused meal prep business, and a movie-inspired escape room company. Strategic business plans, marketing plans, and digital marketing plans had to be developed for these companies, of which the scope of work included market research, target market selection, and developing product, price, distribution, and promotion strategies. This has provided me with valuable knowledge and experience to contribute to my future employer.
