About Itumeleng Mokonyama:

As you will see on my resumed, I have over 10 years’ experience in HR. I started as a HR Assistant and HR Information Analyst working in the Talent Acquisition department at EDCON.  2012 I was promoted to being an HR Business Partner/ HR Manager for Legit stores. In my tenure as the HR Business Partner for Legit, I serviced all Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and KZN Legit stores. 2009 I registered for MBA which took 10 years for me to complete, due to financial constraints I dropped out in 2010. 

I worked for EDCON for 7 years and resigned in 2015 to join the Johannesburg Housing Company as a HR Business Partner. In 2019 I was nominated for the Middle Management Award, which gives me an opportunity to spend 2 weeks overseas at a country of my choice. Due to COVID I have not been able to travel, however, I trust that one day I will be able to still fulfil my dream of traveling to the United States. 

In 2019, I managed to enroll back to complete my MBA which I successfully and proudly completed. This was my greatest success, to be able to complete this degree which I had put on hold for a decade. It was a dream come true. 

Throughout my career there has never been a moment of regret, every step I took came with a lesson and I am a successful HR personnel because of the lessons, people met, my hard work and efforts. I am passionate about my work and take pride in everything I do. I am a very strong-willed individual, guided by my strong values and belief. I am 40 years of age, and the sky is not my limit!
