April 2022 - April 2023 

Home school teacher through BrainLine - private employer (remote)

Currently responsible for conducting, facilitating, planning, and teaching lessons for all subjects taught including English, Mathematics, Geography, Life Skills, History, Natural Science, and Art. to one learner online every day (Monday - Friday) for several hours. All lessons are taught using Skype and the BrainLine school and curriculum which is IEB accredited. The learner that I teach is currently 10 years old and lives abroad. 

2022 (July - September)

Brooklyn Primary School (Pretoria, South Africa)

Job role: Teaching assistant for grade 6 English. 

My responsibilities included lesson planning, teaching facilitating, and coordinating for the subject English home language as well as worksheets, power-point presentations, and assessment creation. Co-facilitated a reading club for learners aged 10-13 years old after school. All learners that I taught were aged 10-14 years old.

Maris Stella School for Girls (Durban, South Africa) 

Job role: Teaching assistant for grades 4 & 5 English & Geography

My responsibilities included teaching/facilitating, lesson planning, classroom management, worksheet creation, assessment, coordinating extra-curricular activities, assessment evaluations, and performances. All learners I taught were between the ages of 8 - 12 years old. 

2021 Northlands Primary School (March)

Job role: Student-teacher for grade 5 English & Geography

My responsibilities included teaching/facilitating, lesson planning, power-point presentation creation of lesson content, classroom management, behavioral management, and assisting in extracurricular activities. All learners I taught were between the ages of 9-11 years old. 

I completed a Bachelor's degree in education specifically for intermediate phase teaching with my majors being in English home language and Geography. (BE.d Intermediate phase teaching) My tertiary education was completed at the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa from the years 2019 - 2022. 

I completed a level 3 120 TEFL course for teaching English through the company i-to-i in the year 2020.
