Isabella Mendes

I am a hardworking, focused designer with a BCom in Interior Design. I am seeking to use the valuable knowledge from my studies to gain further work experience in the field where my design passion lies.

If I were to describe myself, I would say that I am a dynamic problem solver, a decision-maker and a self-learner. I believe that I have the ability to motivate others towards a common goal and the ability to manage tasks effectively. I have sound communication, time management and computer skills, and my attention to detail is a bonus.

Internship at Francois Marais Architects and Interiors for six weeks. During this time, I had numerous tasks to do, such as technical drawings, modelling apartments and furniture, concept development, procurement shopping and observed meetings with clients and suppliers.

Job Shadowing

Visual Art Interiors, South Africa

Job shadowed two employees during my winter break (Angela and Bianca) for a week and assisted on some of their newer projects by giving some creative ideas and putting together creative mood boards for their clients. I also sorted out their sample section in an organized manner.
