I am an experienced Finance Manager/ Director/ Financial Controller or similar role and seeking a position that matches my qualifications.

I am a hands-on CFO and trusted strategic adviser with business acumen. High energy, enjoys the challenge, am a problem solver, with a private and public sector as well as accounting firm experience combination. I have experience as a finance leader in software, hardware, SaaS, from start-up, high-growth to public companies. I also have a track record of originating and closing equity financing, banking credit lines, venture debt financing and structured financing.

Proven areas of expertise include, FP&A, M&A, business modeling and forecasting, technical accounting change management, international operations and global tax

COM Acc (Hons) degree, SAP FI and over 27 years' experience as a Finance Executive, I have acquired effective skills and a practical understanding of the vital principles and practices linked with Finance and business. I began my career as an articled clerk for BDO Chartered Accountants and worked my way to become a Group Chief Finance Officer for a group of companies invested in different portfolio sectors. Over the years I have cemented my credentials as a finance expert as well as an astute businessman.

I enjoy working in finance and am looking forward to adding value in any business or project I am invested in. I feel that the technical knowledge that I have already gained plus excellent social skills will help me excel in the position.

 

I have a combined 26 years' experience in Finance. My professional journey commenced in 1993 when I was attached to BDO Chartered Accountants as part of my degree program. After graduating, I came back to serve articles with the same company. I then joined a hotel group where i worked as a Financial Controller. The position taught me a lot in terms of responsibility and stakeholder management.  Having had such a solid foundation, I joined several other organizations thereafter that include Cargill, Coca Cola and PG Industries in junior and middle management roles. I horned my skills further technically in the areas of financial reporting, management accounting, treasury functions, tax planning, systems development and providing advisory services to the CEOs. My executive experience was gained working for the Gauteng Department of Education, Two Mountains Group and Publicis where I worked as Financial Director, Chief Finance Officer and Financial Controller. Apart from enhancing my strategic level experience in strategy formulation, stakeholder management and communication skills, I also sharpened my business acumen. I am therefore confident of my abilities as a professional to add tremendous value to any forward-looking organization.
