Henry Mahaso

I am an experienced Infrastructure Support Analyst with over 20 years of 

experience working in the IT Industry. I am well versed in areas concerning Information Security, Risk

Management & Vulnerability Assessment, Compliance, Data Privacy, Business Continuity and Networks & System Administration. 

Over the last 30 years, the field of ICT has both diversified and evolved at an exponential rate. 

Having been introduced to computers at an early age, I quickly developed a keen interest in the technology and soon found them to be an influential tool in my life. 

I enrolled for a Higher National Diploma in Computer Studies in 1998 in my home country Zimbabwe, before pursuing further studies in the field at the Harare Institute of Technology where I later earned a Bachelor of Technology (Honours Degree) in Information Technology in 2016.

I currently work as an IT Consultant in Zimbabwe which involves conducting IT Security

Awareness Training Sessions and planning security systems by evaluating network and

security technologies. I review network deployments, security architecture requirements

and exceptions. 

In addition, I previously worked at Adaptive Business Intelligence for 3 years as a Telecommunications

Specialist where I was responsible for VOIP and FreePBX configurations, SIP extensions

and Dial plans configurations.

Prior to this, I worked for Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe for seven years as an Infrastructure

Support Analyst/ Network Analyst where I was responsible for managing the bank’s network

infrastructure comprising Windows NT/XP and windows 2000/2003/2008 servers, ATMs,

VSAT in liaison with Poole England and our local support ICL.

It is at this role that I became a very confident, reliable and influential IT Support Specialist.

I take my work very seriously and always strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism and work ethic. Due to the on-going changes in this cut throat industry it is essential to keep abreast with the latest ICT trends, threats and vulnerabilities, which I regularly do so through workshops and online search engines.

 I would like to expand my opportunities and currently seek to establish myself as a Cyber Security Specialist. I am currently studying towards CISA and later on CISSP.

Conducted compliance review of Network / Security devices mainly Windows.

Implementation of patch management initiated Vulnerability Scans and IT Risk Assessment. 

Graduated with a Bachelor of Technology Honours in Information Technology in 2016 and am studying towards CISA(Ready to sit for the exam).
