Heather Hughes

I am a leader by nature, with strong initiative and follow-through, in addition, I do strongly believe a person does not need to be put in a leadership position to be a leader. I am a driven and conscientious young lady that takes pride in my appearance and my work. I strive for the best and do everything in my willpower to achieve my goals.

Industry Experience via Monash South Africa, [Project Manager], 2021
● Monash South Africa university requires us to gain real-world experience through our industry experience units. As a team, we have gained experience in designing databases, implementing scanning systems, and developing websites.

Entellect Challenge, [Team Member], 2020
● I took part in the Entelect Challenge which is a coding competition among students of different universities around the country. We developed a program that allowed us to solve a Tetris-like game.

Mobile Application Development (MAD), [Team Member], 2016 - 2017
● I took part in the University of Pretoria MAD (Mobile Application Development) challenge in which we needed to create a mobile application of our choice. We achieved second place with our cooking app.

Bachelors of Computer and Information Science, double majoring in Business Information Systems and Mobile Systems. My current weighted average mark is 84.62% with a GPA of 3.65.

National Senior Certificate (Matric) was completed at Woodlands International College and obtained an 81% average.
