I am writting to express my interest in the laboratory technician/assistant position at your company. With my background in laboratory assistance, agronomy laboratory worker, medical laboratory trainee and my passion for quality assurance and laboratory work, I believe I am an ideal candidate for this role.
In my previous role in laboratories, I gained valuable experience in laboratory operations, sample collection and testing, water treatment, SOPs, GMP and HACCP quality systems, agar media preparation, maintaining accurate records of test results and observations. Additionally, I have gained knowledge as an agronomy laboratory worker in plant management, operating various laboratory equipment, plant tissue culture techniques and DNA extraction.
I have a proven track record of success from the medical laboratory, in maintaining registers, (blood, stool and sputum) sample testing, analyzing parameters in water, operating some laboratory machines such as PCR, Gene expert, Mindray BC technology, Fine care systems, analyzers, autoclaves and incubators. I also have the ability to assist in planning, hazards assessing, chemical disposal, do shift/overtime work. Accountability, flexibility, creativity, decision-making planning and organizing, teamwork, customer service orientation, communication and professionalism are some of my competencies and values.
Iam a qualified biological science teacher who have worked as a school laboratory technician for (4) four years and  science teacher for six (6) years in the Ministry of Education (Zimbabwe). Iam a holder of a Diploma in Science Education and B.Sc. Hon degree in Applied Biotechnology. Iam very honest, reliable, with good health and physically fit to lift loads. Iam prepared to do shiftwork/overtime and work during the weekends. I am confident in my ability to contribute to your team's success in conducting all laboratory work and tests. My attention to detail, problem-solving, excellent time management, provision of operational support, and proficiency in technical skills related to manufacturing and laboratory work, make me a strong candidate for this position. In addition with my demonstrated initiative and willingness for professional growth align with the opportunities for learning and development that your company offers.
