About Garvin Allard:
Nanochemist, MSc graduate, great at problem solving, team work and communications (oral and written)
Experience
My work experience date includes 2 years as a chemistry tutor and more than 5 years experience as a laboratory demonstrator. Both have helped me hone my skills in team work and communicating with academic and technical staff, as well as students.
Education
I completed my Masters degree in Nanoscience at the University of the Western Cape in 2015. The first gear was structured, with lectures and assessments from a variety of scientists from the fields of nanochemistry and pure chemistry. The second year was spent completing a research project and the compiling of a thesis. I gain skills in project management and communications during this time and had the privilege of presenting my research at the MAM-14 International Conference in Johannesburg.
