Garth Muller

I completed and obtained my BA and BA Hons. Degrees in 1998 and 1999 from the Univ. of the Western Cape. Since graduating from university, I've been teaching ESL / English for academic purposes on a full-time basis. With 14 years’ experience as an EFL Instructor and 5 years’ experience teaching academic reading, writing and critical thinking skills, I consider myself uniquely qualified and proficient for the applied position. 

My personal skills include being thorough and punctual with regard to marking, lesson planning, revision and overall class etiquette. In this regard, I endeavor to instill the same hard-working ethos in my students, molding them in becoming independent thinkers and responsible young adults. Furthermore, my calm demeanor and adaptability helps me to improvise quite easily during unforeseen and stressful circumstances. My willingness to assist and support my fellow colleagues, the department or faculty makes me a committed, dedicated and reliable team player in addition to having excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
