Galit Mordecai

I have just completed my BA in Social Work.

I completed my third year field instruction at Helen Joseph Hospital in which I work with a diverse number of patients and problems such as substance abuse, gender-based violence, mental health, trauma counselling, crisis intervention, and chronic illness. I was also able to implement a parasuicide awareness campaign.

For my fourth year placement, I was in Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital. I was able to provide individual and family intervention, as well as to work with other health care providers to ensure a safe discharge for the patients. I conducted counselling groups for amputees, and I was able to run an awareness campaign on the challenges that amputees face, and what interventions social workers can provide to improve the care for amputees and their families. 

I am currently employed by a private social work company through which I am still working at Netcare rehabilitation Hospital 

I completed my BA in Social work.

I finished by undergrad in psychology in 2022 and conducted my field instruction at Helen Joseph Hospital. I passed with high marks.

I finished my degree in 2023 in which I excelled academically and completed my field placement at Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital.
