• Monitor machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds, watch machine gauges and controller display or digital readout for warnings, and visually check cutter path, clearance, chips to ensure smooth operation
• Set machine coordinates or index points per CNC documents, including cutter offset/compensations, tool heights and probes, using controller keyboard, coax indicator or digital readout, height blocks, shims and edge finders
• General Machinist's setup, operate and adjust numerous types of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) single and multiple tool machining centers
• Ensure cutters are the correct type, length, diameter, radius and are in good condition
• Ensure that correct material (e.g., type and quantity) was issued per plan and is free from defects
• Utilize custom control media, setups and program documents, to fabricate close tolerance, high quality parts from hard metals, specifically, titanium
• Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results

• NC program knowledge or the ability to learn programming
• Knowledge of basic machine practices and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to concentrate, focus, and pay strict attention to detail to fulfill roles and responsibilities
• Ability to read and interpret detailed instructions and procedures (blueprints, route sheets, and specifications)
• Able to read blueprints and use measuring tools (e.g. calipers, linear measuring machine, fixtures etc.) to ensure that parts are within quality specifications
• Knowledge of measuring equipment and machine tools
• Able to reach constantly forward, frequently laterally and occasionally over the shoulders
• Able to visually inspect for defects
• Able to use related computer applications
