Elvis Mathumba

I have earned master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology. In addition to my qualifications, I have Management Development Programme (MDP) and Certificate in Project Management from a top university in South Africa. Currently I am working at Mott MacDonald as Senior Project Engineer.

I have acquired more than 16 years’ solid experience in the mineral processing industry where I’m involved in leading and operating the production plant to produce quantity and quality product. My proficiencies include process control, continuous improvement, research methodology, project management, plant design, plant commissioning and technical application. I have gained experience in the optimization and improvement of production processes in zinc metal production, coal and char production, cement production, water & waste treatment plant in power stations and design of chemical plant. 

My technical skills include hot and cold commissioning of mineral processing plants. My strengths include the application of scientific principles for the resolution of engineering problems, report writing and laboratory management skills.

I offer strong project management, presentation skills, excellent people management abilities, and the use of my personal development to fulfil my responsibilities. I have the ability to work in diverse and multicultural settings, whilst my strong interpersonal skills ensure that I am a good team player.
