Donovan Whittle

• Donovan has more than 30 years of work experience. His work experience includes training and implementation of health, safety and environmental requirements and regulations.  In this regard he has completed relevant courses that include Occupational Health and Safety Law (University of Pretoria), the NOSA courses ASHEPP, HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), Intro to SAMTRAC as well as the course on Hazardous Chemical Substance Awareness and SAMTRAC, he has also completed fall protection planning, working at heights and fall rescue. He has as extensive knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001.Has reached NQF Level 5. He has extensive knowledge and qualifications in the following fields: welding (acetylene, gas, CO2), boat maintenance, fitting and turning, mechanic, inboard, out board engines and transmission, petrol and diesel. Electrical installations and maintenance of 12v – 220v, also generators and solar power. He worked in France as a Motor mechanic, restoring vintage and classic cars. He was in the Communications tower industry and working in the United States of America for a year and 6 months. Now working as QHSE, marine mechanic, air conditioning and refrigeration technician. < =100T Skipper and Facilities maintenance.
• He played an integral part in the implementation and maintenance of a SHEQ Management System (IMS), also ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 accreditation.
• He is registered with SAIOSH as an OHS Practitioner/SAQA Technical and an affiliate member of IOSH UK. 
• He has acted in supervisory capacities and has also completed management courses such as the Supervision and Management Skills Programme at the University of Pretoria. He has overseen personnel training in his knowledge fields.
• Donovan also has extensive experience in the computing field. He has extensive practical knowledge of networks. He has reached the position of Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), completed the Novell Administrator, Novell Advanced Administrator and Zenworks courses. He gained valuable experience in Windows NT Server and Windows NT Workstation as well as Windows 2003 and 2008 server. He has completed all the possible courses in SQL 2005 and SharePoint Server. 
• He is described as dedicated, loyal, energetic, hardworking and a 'hands-on' type of person.
