I am the Head of Market Access Africa Region; I have over 20 years of experience in the health industry with expertise in the healthcare industry, encompassing clinical practice in both the Public and Private Sector, medical aid funding companies, and medical device companies. I am passionate about patient access to affordable, innovative medical technology. My current job includes Health Stakeholder Strategic Management and Technology Assessments (HTA), which is part of the market access journey to afford the entry point to patient care using new technology.
The health industry must work together to achieve market access through new Medical device technology. For us to win, the collaboration must include Medical Aids, Hospital groups, and the Medical Device industry.

Head of Market Access Leader, Strategic Accounts Manager, Health Technology Assessment Manager, Leader for the Medical Devices  Reimbursement Analysts, and Risk Manager at Discovery Health, Leading the Department that brought change and removed the perverse incentives to private hospitals and private Doctors. As the Head of Market Access Leader, I have been responsible for strategic planning and implementation of market access initiatives. I have managed key client relationships and negotiated contracts as the Strategic Accounts Manager. As the Health Technology Assessment Manager, I have overseen the evaluation of new medical technologies and their impact on patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, I have led a team of Medical Devices Reimbursement Analysts, driving efforts to ensure appropriate reimbursement for innovative medical devices. As the Risk Manager at Discovery Health, I have been instrumental in identifying and mitigating potential risks within our operations. Furthermore, I have spearheaded significant changes within the department to address and eliminate perverse incentives for private hospitals and doctors, contributing to a more equitable and patient-centered healthcare system.
