I am also effectively and actively involved in the Manufacturing processes and am not afraid of getting his hands dirty in order to get the job done. I am not the type of individual that makes an office decision, I like to be involved and work in conjunction with the team in order to rectify or resolve a problem.


I have a vast array of experience in the Local and Global Manufacturing trends and disciplines. I have been exposed to many different approaches in the process manufacture field and general manufacturing in line of cost saving and quality management systems which has put me in a strong position to understand and implement many successful strategies in my work environment. I am also very well versed in Paint application and Robot programming on the Automotive paint line and the leather Finishing process. I am also a paint application specialist and a robotics paint application programmer.
 

Experience

Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence. 


Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, regarding technical support for activities, striving for best in class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations, managing teams and projects across the business. 


Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills. Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards. 


Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritized and facilitated, direct and drive implementation of Lean Business strategy and drive. 


The technical development and management – responsible for the daily technical decisions within the paint plant and respective operations. 
Planning and scheduling – planning of man power and the loading schedules for the production line as per customer requirement or call offs. Ordering of chemicals and paints as required.


Manage the departmental human resources and disciplinary functions. Conduct Interviews and head count allocation per process.
Manage the phasing in of new models and also manage the quality engineering function. New project management and project integration with current process flow versus scheduling.
Sign off on I.S.I.R documents and process requirements. I am also managing and driving the process engineering function within the plant. Also manage the Jig design & development aspect of the plant.


The drawing up of man power requirements and budgets relating to throughputs and expenditure internally. Currently managing 181 employees on a 3 shift cycle.


Manage the preventative maintenance planning and scheduling
Manage the robotic and manual application spray line and all relevant technical decisions and aspects within facility. Manage the robotic programming for the application of the paint.


Manage the j.i.t / 5 “s” lean manufacturing culture within the department. Track, manage and define overall plant performance indicators e.g., OEE, uptime, downtime etc.


Drive workforce into achieving prescribed targets and objectives as defined by the Directors.
Ensure process and quality corrective action measures are addressed daily and quality systems are maintained


Conduct review meetings with work force teams and with Directors. 
Liaise with management and all relevant employees through work related social media platforms and e-mails.
Assigning daily workload, evaluate performance, facilitates team work, coaches, counsels and disciplines subordinates. Provide positive reinforcement and relationship building.
