DCS Panel Operator (Contract) – Jan 2024 – Present - Operate Sulphur Recovery, Amine Regeneration, and Sour Water Stripper units during startup.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct emergency shutdown drills, maintaining zero safety incidents.
- Coordinate 15+ field operators, leading 3 successful unit startups on time and within compliance.
- Perform real-time monitoring and adjustment of plant conditions via Yokogawa DCS system.

Engen Refinery | Durban, South Africa
Process Control Technician (DCS Panel Operator) / Training Shift Supervisor – Apr 2016 – Mar 2023 - Managed 24/7 DCS operations of SRU, ARU, SWS, BTX, LPG, Asphalt, Utilities, Polymerisation.
- Maintained 99.8% uptime using Honeywell TDC 3000 across six process units.
- Delivered on-the-job training to new operators, improving shift efficiency and unit familiarity.
- Conducted alarm analysis and optimized startup/shutdown procedures, reducing downtime.
