I have 36 years service at the Department of Health with the last 15 years being at the National Department of Health, working with Quality Improvement and Project Management.

• Improved quality and safety of care for EMS.
  • Team member in the development of Ideal EMS Framework including the measures.
• Monitored and Evaluated the Quality Improvement Rollout for EMS.
• Improved governance – part of team that drafted the EMS Regulations (promulgated in 2017.)
• Management and functioning of EMS by formulating policies, guidelines, norms and standards and standard operating procedures.
• Strengthening skills by addressing training needs (drafted the National Emergency Care Education and Training Policy which was promulgated in 2017.)

• Identified needs and service gaps and provide oversight to provinces on EMS.
