I am an experienced Senior Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) currently employed at Sol Plaatje Municipality, where I have been actively engaged in the environmental field for over 5 years.

As a highly efficient, ambitious, and driven individual, I consistently strive for excellence in all my endeavors. I possess a strong thirst for knowledge and continuously seek opportunities to expand my skills and expertise.

Adaptability is one of my key strengths, enabling me to thrive in any given situation. I have a remarkable ability to transform unexpected obstacles into stepping stones for achieving success.

The reason for applying for a new post -

In my present professional setting, my involvement in air quality-related tasks is not as extensive as I aspire it to be. However, I have diligently accumulated a substantial wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of air quality. It is my fervent desire to apply this knowledge and make a positive impact on air quality, thereby contributing to the improvement and preservation of clean air.

I have been in the environmental environment since 2018, In my role as an Environmental Health Practitioner, I am responsible for a diverse range of duties aimed at safeguarding public health and promoting well-being. This encompasses vigilant monitoring of various facets, including conducting health and housing surveillance of premises, overseeing waste management systems, ensuring the quality and safety of water supply services, and regulating locations where animals are housed. My role extends to rendering essential services, such as implementing food control measures, fostering community development, providing expert advisory guidance, and actively engaging in the surveillance and prevention of communicable diseases. I contribute to the dissemination of health education and awareness through various channels, including lecturing at Henrietta Stockdale Nursing College, while also addressing complaints, enforcing pertinent legislation, and responsibly managing the disposal of deceased individuals to prevent any potential nuisances. Moreover, I play a crucial part in the effective management of financial, administrative, and communication aspects of my responsibilities. Furthermore, I have undertaken notable project leadership roles, including serving as the Project Manager for the impactful "Keen to Clean" initiative in Greenpoint and spearheading the creation of the innovative "MHS System," an online platform for the Environmental Health Department.

I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Health specializing in Air Quality, at the University of Pretoria (2023 - Present). I will graduate in 2024.
