About Daniel Taljaard:

I believe one should have a positive outlook on life and always have an ‘I want to learn’ attitude. I believe one should learn from ones mistakes and in doing so attain valuable life experience.

I have a passion for guest satisfaction and that’s why I have chosen to study Hospitality Management which is also accredited by the Management Institute of Australia . 

My drive in the hospitality industry is to create memorable guest experiences. I have gained the ability to anticipate guest’s needs which would allow me to make enchanting memories for guests and clients alike.

Experience

- Pre- event, post event management of weddings, setting up of venues, wedding team management for weddings. 
- I have personally done and managed 75 weddings to date. The wedding season is still ongoing. 
- I personally do marketing activities for weddings. I personally attend two weddings trade shows per year. 
- Wedding coordinating which includes management of setups, completion of function sheets and management of hotel team. 
- My team consists of two duty managers, Food and Beverage team, Reception team, Kitchen team, Maintenance Team, Housekeeping Team. 
- Preparing and proposing the annual budgets for the Hotel Team needs and activities 
- Work with the hotel team leaders, ensuring that COS, REVPAR, GOP and EBITDA objectives are realised or surpassed
- I personally manage all food and beverage stock with an average GP for beverage of 66% and Wine of 50%. 
- Monitoring the usage of equipment and consumption of stock 
- Working with finance and purchasing, ensures inventory and par stock levels are appropriate to ensure consistent levels of quality service
- Monitoring par stock levels across departments
