Colett Chaake

I am in the process of finishing my Masters in Disaster Risk Management and Development at Stellenbosch University. I complete my undergraduate degree in Geoinformatics and a post-graduate diploma in disaster risk management and Development both at Stellenbosch University. Throughout those years I have learned how to be independent while being able to seek help when necessary. I can handle difficult and varied tasks that may be handed to me while working under pressure. I have had a great support system in my post-graduate studies that are always willing to guide me in my journey to find employment. 

I do not have much work experience but I worked part-time at an international language academy for 3 months. That taught me a lot of patience as well as how to interact with people when we have very little in common.

I have been in school in South Africa since primary school, from Brebner Primary School and St. Michael's School for Girls in Bloemfontein to my undergraduate and post-graduate education in Stellenbosch University. I have not yet graduated from from my MPhil in Disaster Risk Management and Development and I am due to graduate in 2023 pending the completion of my thesis.
