Christine van Zyl

Hi, my name is Christine. I am a Instructional Designer and I specialise in finding new ways to communicate information creatively and visually. I am currently an Instructional Designer at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). I have a passion for understanding how humans communicate information and learning how we can improve our communication methods in Higher Education. 

My current position is as a Instructional Designer at the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Development (CLTD) based in the Centre for Health Sciences Education (CHSE).

Responsibilities include:

• Part of the development team creating the online Bachelor of Health Sciences in the Field of Nursing System Science.
• Technical assistance in running various online/blended courses.
• Giving training and workshops to staff as needed.
• Designing marketing materials and guidelines for the CHSE.
• Marketing and techincal support for weekly online webinars for Professional Development.
• Planning and marketing of events.
• Assist in running selected for the CHSE.

I have a BA in Creative Brand Communication specialising in Multimedia via IIE Vega. I also finished an Honours PGDip in Higher Education via IIE Varsity College.
