I am a strategic, dedicated and skilled communications specialist completing my BA Degree in Communication Science through Unisa, majoring in Development Policy and Strategies, with a strong possibility for Cum Laude having achieved eight distinctions in my second year.  I have worked on the Public Affairs team in the Information Office at the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria for the last five years, where I have greatly expanded my skillset and achieved a number of milestones, delivering quality media communication, social media and web skills, as well as professional videography, photography and graphic design to improve and disseminate Mission country strategy goals. My role as Information and Media Assistant is transitioning to regional Digital Production Coordinator due to a Washington-based restructuring initiative.  Previous to my current degree, I acquired a three-year Information and Communication Design Diploma through Ernst De Jong Academy of Fine Arts.  I have 10+ years of experience in the communications field, with 5+ years of managerial experience.  I am a team player who always goes the extra mile to deliver the highest quality of work.  My skills range through communications, media relations, advertising, graphic and web design, social media, videography, photography, digital content creation, training and development and more.
