My position focuses on ensuring that the supply chain for the manufacture of ladieswear, Girlswear and boyswear for South African clothing retailers is accurately run. I will co-ordinate with the retail buyers to manufacture their orders from brief stage to final delivery. This encompasses fabric buying and development, trims selection, placement with manufacturers, communication with the customer’s buying team on timelines and co-ordinating the logistics of manufacture as well as delivery. Constant and clear communication with the various suppliers and particularly the customer is imperative.
