Charity Nkosi

My name is Charity Nkosi. I am seeking internship with a environmental consulting company.  I am a highly motivated and goal-driven Environmental Management student hungry for relevant practical experience. I am on my final year of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management from the university of South Africa.  I am an aspiring expert in the abilities of project planning, scheduling, report writing and technical leadership. I aspire to develop strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and all levels within an organization. I have knowledge of federal and local environmental regulations, I am computer literate with strong command of GIS, QGIS and Microsoft Excel.

Environmental consulting company internship 

Mhlati Farm, Malelane, Nkomazi Municipality, Mpumalanga

I assisted in planning, organizing and executing fundraising and community outreach initiatives to establish a strong community presence with a focus on and dedication to sustainability initiatives. 

Key achievements: fundraising efforts resulted in revenue collection of R12000 for the summer of 2016. Developed and Maintained 3 Acres of certified organic and integrated crop management vegetable plots. Worked cooperatively with small team of volunteers to plan and implement a new watering system decreasing water consumption by 30%. I actively participated in community outreach programs including farmers markets and community members with the aim to raise awareness on sustainability. I assisted in efforts to reduce the environmental impacts of farm operation through increased composting and selective fertilizer and pesticide use.
