About Chad Mockey:

I am an academic and intellectually open-minded and initiative-taking BA (Geography in development & environmental studies) graduate. I finished off my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), in 2020 at the University of Stellenbosch. I have 3 years of teaching experience. I am a diligent worker with extensive teaching skills through the PGCE program. Thus, I would be a great asset to the school. I believe my multi-perspective vision is beneficial for teaching a diverse group of learners. Teamwork is better than individual work. I work well in collaboration as well as working individually. I possess a genuine passion for working with children in developing their personhood and citizenship to their fullest potential.

Educator: Grade 8 (age 14) teaching English and Social Sciences (History and Geography).

Educator: Grade 9 (age 15) teaching English and Social Sciences (History and Geography).

Educator: Grade 10 (age 16) teaching Tourism.

Extra-mural activities/duties: 

Compiling of all grade 8 marks (excel). Head of Sports at the School. Rugby coach to u/14, u/15, u/16 and u/19 teams. Athletics coordinator (organising and managing assemblies). Designing the merit award certificates for all grades (8-12). Fund-raising co-organiser for the School (Model Show – Mr and Mrs Stellenzicht 2023). I am responsible for class teaching, register keeping of learner attendance and classroom management. Planning and creating of lesson (plans), setting up formal assessment tasks. Organizing and filing documents. Management of classroom discipline. Collaborating with teachers in the same grade.
