My work experience to date has provided me with a well-rounded set of skills and allowed me to develop a proficiency in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements and instituting and defending various litigation matters. 

During my articles of clerkship and as an associate, I gained experience in independently managing numerous client portfolios and thus establishing positive long lasting working relationships with clients. I believe that the success of developing these long lasting working relationships is attributed to my ability of understanding the client’s key issues, providing them with resourceful thinking and meeting deadlines. During my time as an associate, I trained candidate attorneys and legal secretaries as well as students who completed vacation work at the firm. This has equipped me with the skills to not only manage my own time, workload and client expectations but with the skills to train, guide and assist various team members to ensure all clients receive professional and efficient service. 

As a legal advisor and legal consultant, I was able to further develop my experience in commercial law and I was able to draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements that I had not been exposed to while in practice. A key skill that I have learnt is time management and the ability to deal with numerous, complex issues on a day to day basis. An important skill I have developed as a legal advisor and consultant is the ability to understand and implement compliance of various legislation and regulations as well as internal corporate policies. 

In addition to my legal expertise, I have also developed a strong business insight that allows me to understand the commercial realities of my clients' industries. I have developed the skill of identifying legal risks, finding practical solutions and implementing the solutions on an operational basis. 

I have a passion for learning new skills and enhancing skills already acquired. I pride myself on being a strategic and proactive attorney who understands my clients' needs and business objectives. My strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues alike have allowed me to build lasting relationships and deliver high-quality work.
