Carmelita Kok

I'm a nurse for the past 26yrs. Professional Nurse for 13yrs and I'm passionate about my job. I've been in the military serving our country for 14yrs from 2003 until 2017. I've done leadership training and was an officer in the SANDF.  2017 I started working for City of Cape Town Municipality as a Community Health Nurse. I've won the 2021 Integrity Icon Award for Public Servants under the umbrella of The Accountability Lab.  I serve my clients and the community with Honesty, Integrity, loyalty and Passion. I was born to be a Nurse. I was born to humbly serve people. In employing me, I will only be an asset for the organization. I'm zealous,  enthusiastic and  compassionate. 

Started Nursing 1996

Qualified as an auxiliary nurse 1998

Worked for Western Cape Government until 2002

Joined SANDF 2003

Studied as Professional Nurse 2005-2009 at SAMHS Training  Formation 

Post Basic Operating Theatre Technique 2015-2016 @Garankuwa Nursing College

Started @ City of Cape town Municipality 2017 until current as Community Health Nurse 

Started working for City of Cape Town Municipality 2017 and did numerous Community Health Related Training eg. Integrated management of child illness for Registered Nurses(IMCI), Practical approach to care kit(PACK), Basic Antenatal care Plus( BANC PLUS), Drug Resistant TB Training, Youth and Adolescent Sexuality Training, Basic Life Support Training, Infection Control Training.
