Ever since I was 9 years old I discovered my love for the ocean, I was then 19 when I decided to switch over from my Corporate Communications course to the deckhand course. Through the period of 4 months I completed all required courses and some additional courses to make me a suitable candidate to be out at sea. I then spent the next few months gathering some boat experience by freelancing on the yachts in the VNA waterfront harbor. Once i returned to Joburg I went into sales for the next year however I did not feel the same motivation and determination as I did when I was working on the boats, which brings me here where I am looking to pursue my dreams once again and find work on a cruise liner or a yacht.

Experience

I did the following for 11 yachts (will list them below) Stainless cleaning, General deck wash, Race boat prep, Stock take and Engine room clean

I have also detailed handover clean of new Leopard catamarans x 3 ( will be listed below)

Worked on 60m Motor yacht Kiara (prep for dry dock)
