Many children have huge expectations to be an astronaut or fire fighter. On my first day of Grade 1, I was asked what I wanted to be when I was older, I smiled and said a teacher. I have always had a passion for teaching and learning, and over the years it has cemented. In High School, I met a little girl named Lara who Cerebral Palsy, and she inspired my interest in Special Needs Education. I take pride in my teaching and am constantly striving to develop my learners weak areas into strengths. As a teacher, I use my skills and experience to support students to reach their highest potential, by conveying lessons in a way that is most understandable.

CHILD BEHAVIOUR CONSULTANT at Newberry Park – 2017: Worked with children diagnosed with Autism as well as other varying disabilities ranging from mild to severe impairments, while following personalised ABA programs in order to teach one-on-one or group lessons. Updated the principal on the students’ progress and worked alongside the principal to make sure the program was best suited to the students’ needs and abilities. 

AU PAIR – 2021: Assisted children with schoolwork and projects whilst preparing them for upcoming tests and exams. Managed the children’s school, sports and social schedules whilst transporting them to and from their activities. 

TUTOR at Tutors@Home – 2019-2021: Tutored students of in Grade 1 - 10 in all school subjects with a focus on English and Mathematics. Focussed on learners strengths while building up their weaknesses to ensure academic achievement. 

PERSONAL ASSISTANT at Seeff Properties – 2022: Spoke to potential customers on the phone while explaining the benefits and advantages of using the Seeff brand. Liaised with clients and answered questions and concerns they might have had, while scheduling appointments for the agent. 

SPECIAL NEEDS TEACHER at Optim-Ed Learning Centre – 2023: Taught Mathematics and Computers to special needs children ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old, Planned my own lessons according to the CAPS curriculum, while assigning homework, marking tests and documenting progress. Took students for homework class where I helped them complete the assigned work, and study for upcoming tests.
