Busisiwe Vananda

I am currently working in the Knowledge Management field in a Public Sector. Some of my responsibilities entails provisioning of strategic support to business by identifying gaps and bottlenecks in the organization that have negative effects in the service delivery, conduct research and come up with strategies that will address the identified gaps and bottlenecks, thereby facilitating operational efficiency within the organization. In doing so, I interact with different stakeholders within the department and outside; as such my communication and stakeholder engagement skills have been sharpened over the past seven years being in this position with the organization.

 I am a strategic thinker and self-starter, as such in the organization I was entrusted with number of projects that I had to initiate, such as setting up of Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA)Unit in 2014, implementing of Business Process Management in the department in 2015, with the proclamation of Protection of Personal Information Act, in 2020 I was requested to adopt this function. Initiating these projects meant that I had to develop concept documents and project plans.

I am currently working in the Knowledge Management field in a Public Sector. I have over 20 years of experience in the field of Information Management, seven years in Civil society and 13 years in government.

My Junior Degree is in Library and Information Science, obtained in 1998
