Role and Responsibilities a graduate engineer in process control
- I attended to daily base layer and advance process controls related issues.
- I investigated base layer controllers that were not operating in normal mode.
- I modelled multivariable operational controllers using data from the DCS and from PI process book.
- I tuned proportional integral and derivative (PID) controls.
- I performed alarm masking.
- I provided base layer and advance process control statistics of the entire refinery weekly.
- I provided detailed reports of base layer and advance process control statistics to 3 refinery zones weekly.
- Island View operations support post refinery floods.
In Addition:
- I was also a safety assessment secretary and used to sit in management of change requests meetings for observations and to take notes of the required actions as per request.

- Scheduling of meetings on MS Team

- Keeping the plant change requests updated

- To study process and technology involved in the Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU).
- Do on-site visit to confirm as built status for the VRU process.
- Perform Hydraulic calculations on Excel.

- Analyze calculation results and providing engineering solutions.
