In terms of my professional journey, I have gained valuable experience in the logistics and shipping industry. My employment history includes roles such as Pricing Coordinator at Megafreight and Ceva Logistics, where I successfully sourced and negotiated rates for air and ocean shipments, compiled estimates, and provided exceptional client service. I also had the opportunity to educate clients on Inco-Terms thus converting CPT, CFR, business into FOB and Ex Works basis, and contribute to operational tasks within the organization when needed.
Furthermore, I served as an Operations Manager at Cargo Logix, where I managed the end-to-end logistics process, from order receipt to shipment tracking. This role allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge of the industry and develop strong organizational and management skills.
In my most recent position at Mega Freight, I have continued to excel as a Pricing Coordinator. My responsibilities involve sourcing and negotiating rates, compiling estimates, and ensuring the best routing options for shipments. I take pride in my ability to secure business through personalized added services and effective follow-ups.
In addition to my professional experience, I have furthered my education through various courses and certifications, including a Certificate for Customer Service from Metro Minds and specialized training in property management and financial intelligence development.
Education
My educational background includes completing my secondary education at Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld in 1992, where I excelled in subjects such as History, Geography, Biology, Business Economics, Afrikaans, and English, although I did not complete matric and have signed up to complete my NQF 4 in 2024 Additionally, I have honed my computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications, through various courses and years of professional experience.
