About Bongani kekana:

  1.  I acquired CCNA (CISCO) N+ A+ certificates and have vast knowledge of PC Concept, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Windows Explorer and Internet.
  2.  In 2017, I got an opportunity as an experiential at Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET), where I later got an offer as intern and now IT Support. As an IT Support, I maintain and effectively operate information technology systems by supporting daily operations. Having acquired the relevant experience and knowledge of IT support, I also believe I am a relevant candidate because of my other skills that I believe are very important for the position, such as problem solving skills (taking initiatives to research on the identified technical problems and finding practical solutions).
  3.  One of my highlights is developing schedules to monitor IT assets and activity schedules at my current working place LEDET.
  4.  I have good understanding of POPI Act, Batho-Pele Principles, building good working relationships, working in a team and as an individual and great leadership skill
  5.  I love working in a dynamic environment, value ongoing professional development, analytical, eager to learn and very quick to grasp.

  • Resolve primary technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software and peripherals
  • Provide exceptional customer service within the department telephonically and via email
  • Creating new users work profiles and emails
  • Add users to the departmental domain
  • Diagnose any network problems
  • Network, computer and printer configurations
  • Installation of BAS, LOGIS and PERSAL software systems
  • Resolve help desk issues including troubleshooting hardware & software issues
  • Use remote support tools to resolve any desktop related issues that clients might have
  • Provides support on all desktop related issues including Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, printer’s configuration & problem solving and antivirus
  • Ensure adequate backup within the organization
  • Formatting and reloading desktop and laptop machines
  • Adding users on a domain and creating new user profiles

  • Ensures that the Symantec Anti-Virus is always up-to-date
  • Scans IT assets for control and audit purposes
  • Train clients on communication software’s (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, google plus etc.) 
  • Connection and technical support for management meetings and presentations (projectors, sound etc.)
