I have 13 years’ experience in SHERQ and currently work in a high risk environment where safety is
of utmost importance. This is due to the Manufacturing and assembling processes that pose a risk to
staff working on the production of pump equipment used on the mine and the inspection, maintenance and installation of pumps, screens, cyclones etc on the mines. I'm also responsible for theEnvironment, health and safety of employees according to the OHS Act, MHSA Act, Regulations governing general hygiene
requirements for food, applicable legislation and internal procedures where I compile monthly and
quarterly reports by using with regards to:
 Toolbox talk
 Risk assessment
 Incidents and near misses
 Man hours
 Training(internal and external)
 Audit action plans
 Inspections
 Personnel
 Planned and critical events
 Fire and emergency
 Alcohol and drug testing
 Environmental report
 Customer complaints
 SHEQ Risks
 OHS, Quality and Environmental objectives and targets and their soft reports
I am responsible in ensuring annual statutory training is conducted and records
are kept and mine safety files and compliance are up to date. 

I am also responsible for continually improving ISO and 5S compliance, internal SHERQ
documents, evaluating SHERQ programmes’ of the company and ensuring that all incidents and
accidents (ICAM’s, Low Risk incidents and near misses) are properly investigated, recorded and
closed off and updating HIRA’s. I have my own transport and a driver’s license.
