Bhekani Dlamini

Bhekani is the communications practitioner responsible for communication functions in the Corporate Relations Division at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.  He oversees graphic design, media relations, corporate publications, video production and web management.  He also provides strategic support to the Division under the leadership of its Executive Director.  He is a strategic, consistent manager who is service and support driven, using his authority for the benefit of the institution.

A communications practitioner, Bhekani boast wealth of experience spanning more than 20 years in corporate communications in higher education; 12 of these being in management. He previously worked in various capacities at DUT, UNIZULU, VUT and UKZN.

Bhekani has a background in journalism and marketing and has spent most of his professional career in public relations and communications. In 2021, he completed a senior management development programme with Stellenbosch University.

I have a National Diploma in Journalism (ML Sultan Technikon, 2000), Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and Marketing (UDW, 2002) and a Bcom Honours degree in Business Management and Marketing, (UKZN, 2004).
