Bernard Vermeulen

I have been employed in the Market Research industry for 23 years starting in 1999 at React Surveys that specializes in mystery shopping. I was employed by the company as an Area Coordinator managing a team of thirty mystery shoppers. In 2006 I joined TNS Research Surveys in the capacity of Field Manager in the field operations department and I had a team of thirty interviewers reporting to me. I left TNS end of 2010 and joined Nielsen in the capacity of Branch Manager for the Johannesburg region and I managed five field managers together with a field force of 150 interviewers.  I am currently employed by Helion Research in the capacity of a Panel Manager for Africa and I am currently managing various data collection suppliers for 30 markets in Africa. I am currently managing some research projects in South Africa as well.  I have managed various qualitative as well as quantitative research projects which includes mystery shopping, retail audits, business to business studies, focus groups, central venues as well as various CATI, CAPI and PAPI research studies.  I am particularly passionate and excellent in developing and implementing processes and systems to streamline operations of which I have developed and implemented at most of the previous research houses I worked for.  Research is my passion in life and I only strive for complete excellence in my career which is only possible if one is prepared to always go the extra mile.
