Experience
I am practicing as the student social worker at John Walton Secondary School for my fourth year practicum, offering social work services to the learners of the school, helping them deal with psychosocial issues so they are able to tackle daily life challenges while finding solutions to their problems.
In 2018 July I was hired as a peer educator at loveLif, facilitating the loveLife programs where young people were taught about a number of positive life choices and how they can navigate and strive to living a healthy lifestyle. Choice and decision making of young people was targeted to be made at its best.
I was also promoting condom use and other methods of contraceptives while facilitating health talks to groups abput peer pessure, substance abuse, GBV and the importance of staying in school especially to young girls who are vulnerable to dropping out of high school becaise of pregnancy and substance abuse.
Mobilizing community members into joining events facilitated by the organisations and planning events such as dialogues.
