I would like to introduce myself as an applicant for a Finance position. As a BCom Law graduate from the University of the Western Cape and a Graduate in Training at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, I am excited to apply for this opportunity. I have become knowledgeable and well-versed in the field and feel confident in my ability to deliver in this position.

I’m an exceptionally hard worker and a great problem solver. The experiences I have endured and thrived upon, experiences such as being a Head Corridor Representative during my first year in university show and expand my incredible leadership skills. I can proudly state that I continuously expand my skills by always being ready to grasp and learn through my experiences.

My Graduate Programme at Eskom is for the period of 2 years which includes rotation to different Finance Departments. In the first 11 months I have been training under the Debts Management Department. Completing Cashlabs, Terminated Debt and Credit reports. Completing Handovers and Payment listing. Working on Write Off batches. Using collection tools to contact Eskom customers that are owing and working towards clearing debts on the stopped accounts by negotiating and offering easy payment methods.

I have gained experience in working in the fast-food industry as a cashier, a runner, and a waiter. I have completed duties such as problem-solving customers’ issues on the spot, communicating with customers in an acceptable manner to improve my customer service skills, and being a runner, to be able to multitask. I have also been the Head Corridor Representative during my first year in university showing and expanding my incredible leadership skills. I am always ready and looking forward to further expanding my skills through experiences.

During my academic career, I studied a variety of courses that have given me the knowledge I know I need to be successful in the finance field. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to learn about macroeconomics, microeconomics, managerial finance, operations management, project management, strategic management, accounting, financial and analytical techniques, business research, and communication. I am a person who pays careful attention to the smallest of details. I am capable of resolving difficult financial problems and have good analytical abilities. My communication abilities, both verbal and written, are excellent. I perform well in a fast-paced workplace.
