I am writing to express my interest in the recent position advertised. With my Certificate in Financial Management, coupled with more than twenty years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, and advanced proficiency in Pastel and MS Excel, I am confident I can make a significant contribution to your Accounts/Finance department. I am able to take any business’ slips and turn it into working papers for an audit pack.
I also have experience in various bookkeeping packages, like Caseware, Quickbooks, some Pastel (VIP) Payroll experience, I have also maintained the payroll on Accsys Peopleware for the permanent salary staff of R V Smith CC and Xero at Premier Hotels & Resorts.
As noted on my Curriculum Vitae, I have a demonstrated ability to maintain all accounts payable compliant with applicable laws and regulations. I possess extensive experience in matching invoices with accepted purchase orders, entering invoices into the accounts payable system, processing invoices in an appropriate manner, ensuring invoices are paid promptly, and closing of monthly accounts payable into the general ledger.
Furthermore, my strong analytical skills will enable me to manage data-intensive reconciliations and internal audit functions.
I enjoy working as part of a team but also pride myself in being able to work independently. I strive to meet all deadlines and am passionate about the process of performing tasks. I have excellent communication skills and have a positive attitude and perform tasks with integrity and discretion.
I am able to start immediately after 28 February 2023.

Experience
I have vast experience in different industries as I have worked in the accounting firm environment and thus have had to amass skills that are type of industry specific. I have also done company secretarial work and performed reception and other adminstrative duties. You could say I am an all-rounder in the accounting and financial systems industry and have worked on alot of computer packages.I have also done HR admin duties.
Basically I can work from Packets full of slips up to preparation of management account and preparing audit files.
Education
I hold a Financial Management certificate, with main focus on Accounting and computerised financial systems.
