Experience

I am an Exceptional, Highly Qualified Registered Nurse with over seven years of diverse clinical experience and a recently acquired specialization in Occupational Health Nursing (OHN). I have demonstrated outstanding academic performance, successfully completing all final examinations for the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing (PDOHNS) and achieving multiple Distinctions, which now underpins my expertise.

My career is marked by a unique blend of competencies: I am proficient in executing OHN functions such as statutory medical surveillance (including Spirometry and Audiometry), conducting Health Risk Assessments (HRA), managing IOD/COID cases, and ensuring strict adherence to the OHS Act and implementing employee wellness campaigns. Beyond occupational health, I have demonstrated expertise in meticulous pharmaceutical oversight, focusing on medication safety management, adherence to protocols for controlled substances, and implementing inventory best practices (FIFO). Clinically, I possess proven ability to lead shifts, manage staff delegation, and make critical, urgent life-preserving decisions, stemming from specialized experience in paediatric care, including the Pediatric ICU setting. Coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills, I excel in leadership, patient advocacy, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, positioning me as a valuable asset ready to transition into full-time Occupational Health leadership and service delivery.

Education

I have recently completed all requirements for the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing (PDOHNS) from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). Although I am currently awaiting the official qualification certificate (expected 2026), I successfully passed all final exams in November 2025.
This specialized training was completed with a strong academic record, achieving Pass with Distinction in multiple subjects.
My foundation includes a National Diploma in Nursing Science from CPUT (Western Cape College of Nursing), majoring in General, Psychiatry, Midwifery, and Community nursing, completed in 2016.
