My first name is Magdalena Oosthuizen, currently employed by Limpopo Provincial Treasury (LPT), Polokwane Head Office, in the unit of Supply Chain Management (SCM).  I am currently employed under Demand and Acquisition management.

Experience

  • Facilitate and process procurement of goods and services according to the department’s needs.
  • Inviting quotations and ensure compliance with relevant acts and regulations   and prescripts (PFMA, Treasury Regulations, etc.)
  • Facilitate information sessions with bidders and end-users
  • Facilitate the bidding process for the acquisitions that exceed certain  thresholds and ensure to adhere to the National Treasury guidelines, SCM prescripts, Instruction notes and circulars, etc.
  • Manage and supervise employees on execution of demand and acquisition activities to ensure effective services and undertake all administrative functions that is required in this regard.
  • Compilation of bid documents, advertisement, publishing, opening and closing (Tender box) and processing of bids below and above R 1 000 000.
  • Notify and setting up Bid Specification Committee (BSC), Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) and Bid Adjudication Committees
  • Render secretariat services on Bid Committees: 

                           Bid Specification Committee (BSC), Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) and Bid 

                           Adjudication Committee (BAC) in accordance with SCM prescripts

  • Compilation of recommendations
  •  Ensure effective and efficient systems related to the acquisition processes and  facilitate the process of quotation invitation through proper rotation in consistence of the CSD and threshold values determined by the National Treasury.
  • Manage and maintain the Central Supplier Database (CSD), and the appointed Limpopo Provincial Treasury CSD Primary User, which also include monitoring supplier performance and supervisory functions
  • Completing / compiling and monitoring the Procurement Plans of the department

In addition:

  • Assisting in office management, in ways of HRM matters and monthly reports.
  •  Appointed work stream member under the recently implemented 
  • Organizational Functionality Assessment (OFA) by DPSA
