Through my career I obtained extensive skills, knowledge and practical experience in the Police and Security industry, specializing in investigations and training. I also have working knowledge of the personal private insurance environment.
My work experience can be summed up as follows:
I served in the South African Police at Wierda Bridge in Centurion, starting as a Student Constable, working as a Constable and Sergeant in uniform branch and crime prevention unit and advancing to a Detective Sergeant at the time of my resignation. I then joined Metrorail Protection Services, now Prasa, starting as a Joint Operational Centre Monitor, Pretoria, and advancing to a Leading Investigator, WITS.
I was a Senior Investigator, WITS, at the time of my promotion to Spoornet.
I was promoted to Senior Trainer at the Spoornet Security Training College, now Transnet Freight Rail Security College, Esselen Park.
I was later promoted to a Chief Investigating Official at Transnet Freight Rail, Pretoria Depot, responsible for all criminal and internal investigations in the Northern Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West Province.
I acted as Security Manager for the Transnet Freight Rail, Pretoria Depot, effectively responsible for the Northern Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West Province at the time of my resignation.
I was the Awareness Champion in Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West Province for the Non-ferrous Metal Theft Combatting Committee (N-FTCC) during the time I worked at the Pretoria Depot.
I worked at Aon South Africa in Sandton as the Group Risk Control Room Supervisor, South Africa, where I managed the staff of the crisis control room, servicing 27 control rooms in Africa and Middle East.
I was a Personal Financial Advisor at Old Mutual where I advised clients on financial plans utilizing knowledge of tax and investment strategies, securities, insurance, pension plans and medical aids.
I worked as a Security Compliance and Risk Officer at Mjayeli Security Services.
In Fidelity Security Services I worked as a Security Site Manager at the American International School of Johannesburg. My clientele were very high-profile individuals and their children with a high security risk due to their standing in society.
My last position was as a Shrinkage Auditor at Makro Crown Mines. My duties entailed, among others, conducting audits and investigations.
I was a Content Provider for Communication Brazil, where I created information, educational or entertainment content for online delivery and optical media.
I currently work for myself.My enterprise’s name is Outwit (Pty) Ltd.
I am actively involved in the community as volunteer. I was a trustee of the Nongqai Trust from 2018 until 2020, volunteered as a moderator, reaction member and patroller for Concerned Citizens South Africa from 2016 until 2023 and is currently a member of the Service Providing Team of Wierdapark Residents Association,
I arrange get‑togethers and events for retired police and military officers.
I arrange crime prevention initiatives for the community such as shooting range days, informative evenings with veterinarian about dog poisoning, with police about crime tendencies and crime experts about easy crime prevention tips each and every resident can implement to ensure their own as well as their neighbours’ safety and security

Education
In the South African Police Force, I was trained in junior management skills, Special Weapons and Ammunition Techniques (SWAT), tactical survival and crowd control, forensic investigations for investigators, trauma counselling, informer handling and all courses related to criminal and internal investigations.
At Metrorail, I attended courses specializing in white collar crime and non-ferrous metal theft. I also attended courses in disciplinary and grievance procedures.
At Transnet Freight Rail, I attended courses specializing in white collar crime, nonferrous metal theft, client-relations, contract management, management, handling absenteeism at the workplace, disciplinary procedures, motivating a team, the application of company policies, identifying the need for training in personnel as well as centralised and decentralised training, identification of fraud in the workplace and handling a team investigating fraud and syndicates and disciplinary and CCMA procedures.
At Old Mutual I completed all the training to be a fully-fledged Personal Financial Advisor.
