My career at APL (formerly Nampak) provided me with comprehensive experience as both a General Worker & Assistant Operator and a Machine Operator. During this time, I gained hands-on expertise in setting up and operating I4 machinery, monitoring production equipment, and ensuring all materials were available to meet production goals. I also took on a leadership role, supervising a crew of two machine assistants and training apprentices, which further developed my skills in team management and quality control. My certifications in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment and various training in leadership, Employment Equity, and operations management further strengthen my ability to contribute effectively to the position of Team Coordinator for a campus facility department. 

In my most recent role as a Farm Manager, I honed my skills in a variety of areas that are directly transferable to a demanding facility management position. These include ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, organizing maintenance and repair of equipment, and maintaining accurate records—all crucial for a facility management position. The skills I developed in recruiting, training, and supervising staff, along with my commitment to workplace health and safety (as evidenced by my diplomas in Workplace Safety and Health and Occupational Health, Safety and Environment), demonstrate my ability to lead and maintain a secure and productive work environment.
