Andrew Chawora is a result-driven and highly effective Professional Town and Regional Planner with over 20 years’ experience in the field of planning. He is registered with both the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN) and the South African Planning Institute (SAPI). Andrew has worked in both the Private and the Public Sector including the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) and Bushbuckridge Local Municipality before joining Mpumalanga Provincial Government (CoGTA), where he worked as Chief Town and Regional Planner for a period of 6 years. He has vast experience in all aspects of Spatial planning and Land Use Management, Local Economic Development, and Integrated Development Planning. Apart from the South African experience, Andrew brings in a wealth of experience gained from working in other countries including his brief stay at Saint Helena Island, South Atlantic Ocean, where he was Head of the Planning Unit.
