I am able to take responsibility and can be a leader, while maintaining a professional, positive relationship with colleagues at all levels.
Experience
I was chosen to be part of the ISASA M&E programme. This programme places inexperienced teachers in IEB schools to obtain training from qualified mentors. The programme gave me invaluable knowledge of what a great teacher should be, which I strive to apply on a day to day basis in my classroom. I completed this program as the top achiever of 2016.
I currently teach Life Sciences and Natural Sciences at Radley Private School. I teach Grades 8-9 Natural Sciences and Grades 10-12 Life Sciences following the CAPS curriculum. I am also the Head of the Maths and Sciences group at Radley Private School. I was previously employed by Harriston as the Head of Life Sciences and Natural Sciences. I taught Life Sciences to Grades 10-12 following the IEB curriculum. In addition to that I taught Natural Sciences to Grades 6-9.
Prior to this, I was an intern at St Nicholas Diocesan School, while I was studying towards a PGCE.
After matriculating, I worked part time at a clothing store and after completing my BSc, I worked at Travelex, a foreign exchange bank.
Education
I matriculated in 2010 with three distinctions. I then went on to complete a BSc degree at the University of KwaZulu Natal, specialising in Genetics and Microbiology. I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Cum Laude) at the University of South Africa in 2016.
